Buniyaad is a Non-Profit Organization striving towards its mission of "Educating minds... Strengthening roots....Laying foundation for a better tomorrow" and is run by a group of committed individuals working towards fulfilling social objectives. Buniyaad aims to impart value education to children and promote overall development of children and adults from the less privileged sections of our society. Buniyaad was working with "balwaadis" (pre-schools for less-privileged children) providing quality pre-primary education, since 2000.
Buniyaad's first English Medium Playgroup & Nursery was launched at Vikhroli Parksite, Mumbai in 2007 with 20 children. The classroom is part of the home of a resident in the locality, or community space, which is rented out to Buniyaad for the duration of the session. The success of the Nursery resulted in the setting up of more Nurseries in other localities in the subsequent years.
Buniyaad also offers courses in English conversation to people from the under underprivileged strata of the society. Buniyaad believes in developing the skills and self-esteem of such people and provide them with opportunities to improve the quality of their lives. Buniyaad is a registered Public Charitable Trust (October 2005) under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.
Buniyaad aims to impart value education and promote overall development among preschool children from underprivileged communities. Buniyaad currently runs Playgroup & Nurseries across different underprivileged settlements in Mumbai. The curriculum is developed with a focus on Academic requirements, development of Moral Values & Positive Habits, as well as exposure to various Extracurricular activities. Buniyaad uses English as the medium of instruction in the Playgroup & Nurseries, to give the children a head start when applying to English Medium schools.

Buniyaad aims to improve the general Health and Hygiene levels of the students. To this effect, sessions on Personal Hygiene, Handwashing Oral Hygiene, Safe & Unsafe Touch, Keeping our Surroundings Clean, etc are built into the curriculum.

Buniyaad not only provides Elementary education but encourages, fosters and supports the parents to ensure completion of their ward’s School Education by providing the much-needed Financial Aid. To this end, Buniyaad has instituted the ‘ Asha Kiran ’ Scheme to support a limited number of deserving students financially for continued education in English Medium. They receive legitimate school fees and even tuition fees from Jr.KG up to Grade 10.
